Water Ingress Investigation
The source of a complex issue was successfully traced and accessed after several unsuccessful attempts by prior contractors. Specialised lifting equipment was used, complying with strict health and safety protocols, which included traffic management and working at height precautions.
Complete protection measures were established across five storeys, enabling access to the top floor where the issue began. A range of leak detection techniques, including sonar, smoke, thermal imaging, and water tests, were employed to accurately locate the source of water ingress.
In the end, it was determined that an improperly installed lead tray detail was the fundamental cause, which had meant rainwater was infiltrating the property.
